Our Story ;sn't Over
Another Mother Blogger
When I started SPAZ (Suicide Prevention and Awareness Zone) it was to help bring light how using exercise and "moving to live" could help cope with mental health disorders/diseases. SPAZ now has two different sides, the exercise side where we continue to make sure mental health and suicide is proudly brought to light in all communities, but also through blogging, volunteering, and creating a ruckus that is unavoidable so people have to hear our story. In my struggles, I have had a hard time putting the time in that I wanted to spreading awareness of suicide and suicide prevention. Now as I feel like my family is in a new chapter, it has become very important to me to get back to this place of sharing my story, my struggles, and my thoughts so those that are struggling don't have to be alone. I find when people read my stories, thoughts, deepest dark ugly feelings, they sympathize with how I feel, some have never felt that way but know others in their family that have and can find more grace in what they are going through and maybe ways to help them cope, and others find the importance of really spreading hope and light in our community so other warriors have an ear ready for them. There is hope! This is a part of my life I thought I would NEVER see, and now I get to live my dream of spreading hope and awareness around mental health and suicide.
